Dragonboat
The 313 Ladies Dragon Boat team has attracted phenomenal annual support at the Al-Noor Dragonboat race in Fairlop Waters, Hainault over the years. Dragonboat leader and senior 313 team member Shagufta put a team together in 2018 with absolutely no paddling experience between them. However what they did have was a passion for fitness, a desire to help in humanitarian causes and local charities and were driven by competition. Since the start of the Al-Noor Dragon boat team the 313 Ladies maintained their title achieving a hat trick of wins in 2018, 2019 and 2021 (No race in 2020 due to covid). The team has raised over £20,000 for charity over this period.
Muay Thai Interclub Women & Girls Only
Providing a secure and safe environment both physically and emotionally is very important to us and we do not compromise in the quality of delivering this for our users. We understand that modern women are more and more inclined towards martial arts and are sometimes put off by an environment which may not allow them to feel at ease. Our female only martial arts are now able to enjoy female only events at our centre. In 2021 we hosted our very own women and girls Muay Thai interclub and the feedback and support for more has been amazing. Watch this space.
Annual 5k Family Fun Run
Charity, family and fitness is at the heart of our ethos. Whether that is a global charity project abroad or closer to home grassroots organisations, we have and will continue to strive and ensure that year on year we are doing our bit. The annual 5k family fun run is held in October. 313 Fitness has encouraged our novice runners, local school children and families to get fit, start training and brave the cold to run 5k in Hainault Forest. We are delighted that we have surpassed expectations and donations have achieved thousands and thousands of pounds.
